BOMBS AWAY!!!!!

This is a tab bit overdue as are a few other posts but it's too cute to pass up. This was the last day of school. Let the summer fun begin! Right when Clayton walked in from work he looked for the kids and they were outside playing: (Yes, that is charcoal)

His initial reaction, as any sane person's would be was to yell at them to stop! But I caught him before he said anything and we let them have a charcoal war as we watched from inside.

Even Henry got in on the action! It was two against one but they didn't care!

And surprisingly they actually did pick up every piece of that charcoal and put it back in the bag.
They sure were dirty but they sure had fun! Boys will be boys! You turn your back for a minute and there's no telling what they'll get into, even your charcoal!

He's Moving On Up

When we moved to Texas Henry had just turned two and since he was so very fond of his crib I decided to keep him in it until he adjusted to the new house with the thought that too much change all at once may be just that, a little too much. So a few weeks later I had every intention of putting his big boy bed together. And that's just what I did. You know, a few weeks, um 18 --yeah, that's more than a few but who's really counting? Anyway, yesterday I did it:

And look who moved on up to his big boy bed last night:

I think he really likes it! As a matter of fact, he's up there sawing logs as I type for his afternoon nap!

All Partied Out

We were very glad to crawl into our bed last night and call it an end to the weekend. Saturday both boys had their end of the season tee ball parties complete with swimming and trophies. Needless to say we partied in the pool from 11-5 on Saturday. And it was a gorgeous day to do so, not a cloud in the sky. We all slept like a bunch of bricks Saturday night. Sunday afternoon we headed over to our neighbors' house b/c they are moving to NC next weekend. Zach and Charlie are in the same class and played on the same tee ball team this year. Zach had a going away swimming party Sunday afternoon. It was much more low key than tee ball (as we were all neighbors) so I even got the girls in their suits and me in mine (Lord, help me!) and we all swam the afternoon away. The girls were so funny. I thought it would be too cold for them but they were just like little fish! They loved the pool. So we will definitely be visiting the pool frequently this summer. Henry is the only one who doesn't really like it. But he did better when I got in with him. By the end of the day he had warmed up to it a little bit and had his floaties on and was not screaming and holding on to you for dear life, death grip entact. Here are some pics from our weekend:

This is our last week of school so we've still got a few more parties left in us for Kindergarten end of the year and Kindergarten graduation and then we're off to Dothan for a week since Clayton's got his manager meeting in Indy next week!

Memorial Day Weekend

I realize this post is only a week late (so shoot me!) but after making a long trip it always takes me a week to catch up. And we're still in school here so I'm still in the school routine plus getting ready for end of the season tee ball parties, getting William's shots for school, and trying to keep my overflowing laundry baskets from needing their own zip code just to add a few. I'm been busy is what I'm saying. In fact I need to be cleaning my house as I type but I'm procrastinating as usual.

Anyway, we went road tripping over Memorial Day weekend. The girls and I spent Friday and Sat. night with Kay Kay and Mike. We had such a good visit! Mike took some FABULOUS pictures of the girls in "the bowl". They are just wonderful! Mike shot our wedding and has taken NUMEROUS photos of my kids over the years. I don't they come no finer than him. If you are in the Memphis area and are looking for a good photographer you can see his work here: www.Logan-Photography.com. Clayton and the boys headed to his parents and the girls and I went down there on Sunday. The boys had a great time playing with McCoy. I didn't get many pictures but I did snap the girls riding McCoy's 4-wheeler with their daddy. They loved it! I'm sure this will be Clayton's perfect excuse to buy himself a toy soon! (even though we have nowhere to ride it where we live now)

Thomas Eats Bananas

Here's a little Thomas trivia for you, compliments of Henry:

What is Thomas the Tank Engine's favorite food?

Give up?

Why, bananas of course!

Silly Henry!

Kung Fu Anyone?

I can foresee a fence repair in the near future, ya think?

Cardinals Tee Ball

Charlie played advanced tee ball this year and loved it. The coach pitched to the kids and if they didn't get a hit they used the tee. Charlie got a hit almost every time! They really get outs and everything in this league so it's a lot more exciting than beginner.

Here's Charlie fielding:

and batting:

And here he is after the game:

This game I failed to take a pic of our "cheerleaders" b/c I had to keep one sports fan enthusiast off the field, aka Henry. He can't wait until he's old enough to play. Here he is running the bases after the game:

White Sox Tee Ball

This post is a little late but I finally remembered to bring my camera to tee ball (the last game). William played beginner tee ball this year b/c he is still 4. Both boys really enjoyed being on their "own" teams this year. It was more work for us with almost three games a week most weeks but it was worth it.

Here's our #2 before the game:

and of course, what game would be complete without cheerleaders? GO SOX!!!!
