Hi, I'm April. I have a blog that I used to keep up with. Since it's been over a month since my last update I think I can officially be named a slacker. Honestly, I have no idea where the past month has gone. Does anyone else feel the same? I mean, it is just flying by! We are getting ready to move. We have to be out of our house by June 3rd and we are officially homeless after that. We had another house but the contract fell through and lots of drama and all that jazz. We found another house but we're in the middle of negotiations right now and won't be able to close until mid-June at the earliest, assuming we can agree on everything. If not, we will house hunt AGAIN this weekend I guess. I cannot tell you how many houses we have looked at. It's been hard to find something big enough for us that doesn't need a lot more than just a
facelift. We're not planning on being in Texas forever so we don't want any work to do. Basically we just want to move our stuff in, live there for a while and move out. Sounds pretty simple, huh? You would think. But with every small town, if you have a good house then you are not moving, b/c you like your house and have no intention of going anywhere. Or if you're going to move then you bought your house in 1979 or somewhere thereabouts and it still looks like it did back then. I'm all for some redoing if it's in Alabama.....but in Texas, no thank you. Not that anyone wants to know all those details, but I can't help myself. Anyway, our stuff is going to storage and we're going a visiting. It actually works out good b/c Clayton has meetings so I'm going to get some quality time with my family, yeah!
So what have we been up to the past month? Well, I turned another year older. My kids were all nice to me on my special day, Clayton even got me a present (some diamond hoop earrings) and we all had Sprinkles cupcakes, yummy! I have discovered new wrinkles on my face. I am thinking about taking the plunge and spending the 40 plus dollars on some of that anti-aging cream stuff. Anybody use any of that stuff and does it work? I haven't gotten super motivated yet, just a thought. I feel like Shelby in Steel Magnolias when she says she's discovered the early stages of crows feet. And
Truvy says, Honey, time marches on and eventually it marches right over your face. (or something to that effect) I'm not the greatest movie quoter. I can on the other hand link almost any actor back to Kevin Bacon within six links. I used to play that game all the time in
high school (the six degrees of Kevin Bacon). Man, I was good at it.
Sorry, to chase that rabbit. I know you really wanted to know that bit of useless information. We've been playing outside a lot lately. We didn't really have a spring. It went more like from winter to straight summer. We may have had 5 or 6 spring days total. Now it is just plain HOT. Like get out the
water slide and swimsuits hot. We've been doing that too. Rabbits have been having babies around here and we've been watching them come out to eat every evening. The kids love it, especially the girls. We have rabbits all over our neighborhood by the way. Last year we found a baby in our yard.
My mom and my grandmother came out for a visit right after my birthday and we had a really good time. I got some so sweet pics of my kids and my grandmother. And here's what we've been up to in pictures. We've actually been up to more than this but I didn't think anybody wanted to read a post with 33 pictures on it so I'll split it up.....you're welcome.
Me and Mary Collins:
We hardly ever get any pictures of just the two of us. I think this one is pretty good, compliments of my photographer, William.
Loving on Daddy:
The girls standing on a baseball bat and having Daddy lift them up like he was doing arm curls. They're going to have to gain quiet a bit of weight before it's considered a workout though.
Daddy, you're so funny:
Daddy and his girls:
Mary Collins laid her head on Clayton's shoulder when he'd lift them up. It was so sweet:
William and Belle:

ice cream with Belle:
When my grandmother came she kept three little ones entertained by reading. I bet she read 10 books a day and they loved every minute of it:
